blocked from following

hii, i've made a new tiktok acc a few days ago, and since then it never allowed me to follow anyone, i can't follow back my friends no matter what i do. my email is verified and i already tried logging out then in again, also never got any in-app messages saying i'm blocked from doing certain things so idk what to do anymore
