No, for real, I’m getting to a point where I feel like I’m gonna have to start actually putting all of my opinions out there, mind you I’m a very opinionated person, especially these days, but I wanted my TikTok page to be a break from how I feel in real life, I wanted to show lifestyle, content, creativity and new things i try…. but the truth is, I’m realizing TikTok isn’t just about categories of content, but it’s about putting certain ppl in categories based on looks…only certain ppl blow up in certain spaces…for ex.
as someone who wants to do lifestyle content, I feel like the only girls that get to blow up in that space are white or light…..and if you wanna be anything else then you have to be rich and slap “luxury” on everything
I know a girl who’s been posting consistent pole dance videos for the past 3 years, Really unique niche that tends to grab a lot of attention….if the person looks a certain way… she’s been posting consistently, multiple videos a day every single day and can’t get more than a few likes a video….
people are starting to make content for the sole purpose of helping other people create content but that’s only because it’s a big niche right now that’s helping them blow up….. they talk about things like using certain tips and tricks, making your videos “unselfish“, using front camera, using mics, using catchy openers etc etc….. but then you stop and remember that the Leah Haltons of the world did absolutely none of that bullshit 🤣
it gets to a point where it’s just statistically impossible, there’s so many people on that app at all times, if the algorithm is just fairly letting videos go through I don’t see how a video could just stop at 200 views… and when you realize that most of us are just mindlessly liking, and you see the next stupid video have 10,000 likes on it, it’s really hard to believe that statistically more than 10 people didn’t like yours….cus it’s like HOW …. at any given time there’s millions on tiktok!
