Fr, why??
Why are so many people so pressed about going viral? Just wanna see the numbers for no reason or what? 100k isn't viral lmao And views like that don't automatically mean followers or money....so really, what's the reason?

People want to feel important.
being noticed, it gives people a sense of worthiness.
I’ve gone viral so many times, 3million + views on TikTok back to back. The attention gives me imposter syndrome I hated it. Deleted all those accounts and I’m happier with my 100 followers
for the plot
People find it fun, gives them something to do, love attention, etc.
Like it’s TikTok lol people are becoming mentally ill bc of social media & TikTok is making it worse
you must be fun at parties
It’s just cool lol. I find it fun when my comments go “viral” and have like 50-100k likes.
People want to be liked, feel accepted, and yeah, some just really like attention. I don't blame anyone for feeling these things. To an extent, everyone feels some level of these emotions at some point. And don't say 'I never have', because that is just a plain lie. Granted, I don't think I'd want to 'go viral', at least not for a video online. I'm an awkward person who is usually a clumsy mess, I doubt anything that would make me viral in that way would be very flattering lol. But I'd like for my publicly posted fanfic to gain some online attention, I suppose. And it does sometimes, which feels good. If I ever published a novel, I'd want it to sell well (though I'd be happy just putting it out there anyhow). It may seem annoying when some become obsessed with the prospect, but at the end of the day, it's a basic human desire to be appreciated by those around you, either in person or online. Doesn't seem that strange to me 🤷♀️
Hawk Tuan earned millions from one dome clip about spitting on a dude’s junk. In the age of influencers and content creators, virality is the new stairway to heaven.
They think having a viral video will change their life, when in reality that happens like 2% of the time lol
