Tiktok not letting me view comments?

So I can watch the video, I can see there is comments at the top. Even if I get a friend to tag me in a video it still won't let me view the comments. I've closed the app about 5 times and reopened, I've restarted my phone, I've turned off my phone a couple of times. I had this problem before and all I could do is reinstall tiktok, is there a proper solution? I can do everything else in tiktok just not view the comments.

I know someones is going to try and be smart, yes I did press retry and when I do it just makes the 'no internet....' thing appear and then flashes the text, it does nothing.

This is also on every video, new or old, following or not.
