Better record inside the app or upload the video from library?

I have been pondering that question a lot and finally came to Reddit.
I don't see the big performance difference between making the video inside the app or uploading the ready video from the library. However, I do see the quality reduction when creating inside the app.

Do you know if there is a difference?
