yeah the Algorithm is pretty much a dud now if you're looking for fresh, new content like the old days. If you watch one single clip for just a bit too long then TikTok will for some reason automatically start sending you a bunch of those types of clips to your fyp, and as for the specific clip you may have watched for a bit too long? who knows. It could have even been a video you watched that TikTok "thinks" is related. It just does it at random now hoping to catch your attention again rather than actually suggesting videos you tend to watch alot. The creator's watch time and interactions from users play a role too so TikTok will push videos just because of high interaction and loaded comment sections also regardless of if they think you may want to watch it or not.
I deleted TikTok once I started noticing this, all I watched was Nerf and foam blaster content and everytime I logged back in, it was just videos and lives of TikTok shop creators and Battles.
