Yes you can get muted on live, but I’m not sure if it would even allow you to send the comment if you were.

If you were muted on live you won’t be able to type or send messages and it’ll give you an alert to state why. On the other hand, TikTok has gotten a tight grip over speech. We’re not calling it free speech anymore because to have speech freedom you have to become a LIVE pro after manipulating your LIVE audience for thousands upon thousands of dollars. Anyway, since speech is no longer a right whatsoever within the TikTok sphere, they will not display all comments in a live chat. A lot of words or the way people structure the sentence may get immediately flagged by the LIVE and not display the comment. Certain keywords cause this but the style of which it was written is what AI is analyzing. There are still no clear terms of what rules are what on TikTok, it’s all vague terms of service designed to reserve all power and legal authority over your person to TikTok. That said, we will not see less censorship. We must be agile in pushing the boundaries before it’s too late! Good luck!!

Another way to see how this is happening, if you have another device, is to use that second device (PC works too) to see if your comments from the main account are or not being displayed. This may help determine the cause.

Alternatively and without a second device, you can leave the LIVE and rejoin from a different screen. If you joined the LIVE from FYP for example, you’d want to be following them of course, and go over to your Inbox tab and opening the live there. Or refreshing the app. Then, see if you can find your message. If not, that’s confirmation TikTok is not displaying your message for one reason or another. It could be (slim chance) keywords blocked by the creator. That’s not too common and it’s not likely the reason for you. I think TikTok may be filtering comments if it seems it sensitive for some reasonz
