Is it just me but ever since the ceo of TikTok met with that orange baby this app is basically become a breeding ground for incels and misinformation like I miss how this app used to be and every since that orange baby been in office this app gets worse and worse
This is the natural progression of all social media platforms. They start off as a bright eyed liberal college grad and devolve into maga drunk Uncle at Thanksgiving dinner
It was already a hive of window licking knuckle dragging morons before that so no big loss. The first two TikToks I ever saw seem to represent the intelligence of 90% of content creators there.
The first was of two girls "saving" a pet store goldfish by throwing it into the ocean. These are middle school aged kids they were taught about fresh and saltwater fish by then.
The second was of a young a teen throwing a tortoise into the middle of a lake thinking they were helping it.
Gen Z may be one of the .most educated generations but TikTok seems to attract the bottom of the barrel in terms of intelligence when comes to content creators. With the older ones I wonder how they were allowed to graduate from elementary school let alone high school

Comment moderation is absolute dogwater. People are openly hateful and racist with no repercussions too. They totally sold out and kept it on the low to prevent backlash
Um no it’s been like that from the start. My self realized I’m a grown adult I got no use for TikTok. A million things I can do with my time over watching bunch of idiots say an do stupid stuff for attention.

I would not go as far as saying it did a hard right turn, as I subscribe heavy to left leaning channels. Couple caveats though...
First I was getting bombarded hard by Elonbots with his pathetic " why you all hate, lil' poor me?" posts, but a few doze ignores fixed that.
The other is I haven't seen stuff from some creators who I enjoy, but some of those were saying they were going to concentrate more on YouTube.
That being said, I still get a lot of content I do enjoy.
I'm convinced people like you are the one's using Tiktok incorrect. Just scroll and laugh at the funny videos. If you're doing anything else you're doing it wrong. Stay the hell away from lives and any and all comment sections. People are dumb. You don't want their opinions.
reset your fyp all it takes is for you to watch 1 video of something you really dont care for for the algo to start adding them to your fyp or when you come across posts like that hit the ... and tell it not interested then it stop showing as many like that. what you see on your fyp is based directly by what you watch/like/comment on then suggestions based on relevance. so yea a fyp reset is the easiest way to fix this then only engage in posts you want to see more of.
