Tiktok randomly asking for age verification

Just a by the way I'm 16, have had tikok since I was like 13 idk and I'm just now getting getting this weird ID pop up, I'm in high-school, the only ID I have is my school ID and I can't use that, I can't pay for a state ID because me and my mother are extremely poor and I can't do drivers ed to get a license because that costs hundreds as well. What can I do about this and why is it just now popping up???
