I got hacked and now I’m confused.

So someone hacked into my account a couple of hours ago. I managed to get back in thanks to biometric login and revert some of the changes, but now I’m confused because they changed my username and my @ to something seemingly random, and since they hacked me I’ve randomly gotten a bunch of new followers. They also don’t seem to have posted or commented anything so I’m confused what their end game even is? Anyone have any idea what’s going on or why?
