Is there no way to use original audio for pictures now?

So I had a music account where I create my own audios from songs I want to post about over slideshows. I did this by posting a private/friend’s only video that had the audio I wanted to use, favoriting the audio, creating my slideshow and selecting the audio again, then deleting the original audio vid. A while ago, this completely stopped working. Private videos don’t let you use the audios and friends only videos still work but as soon as I delete them or private them, it also deletes the audio off of my slideshow. I really don’t want to keep a bunch of friends only vids on my account so surely there’s a better way??
