Couldn’t upload profile pic

Hi folks, I just created a new TikTok account but no matter what image I chose for the profile pic, it always shows me the internet error message and wouldn’t let me upload the pic, although my internet is good and working with other apps.

Has anyone experienced this before and how did you solve it?
