Why do women do this?

There's this viral video of a couple picking tomatoes at the grocery store. The woman is rejecting every tomato that her husband suggests. Even the ones she chose herself - she doesn't notice that he's pulling them from the bag after she already "vetted" them herself a few seconds earlier.

I know it's just a funny video, but I did the same experiment and the results were the same! Any explanations? Trust issues? Faked competence? Some kind of a power play? My wife does that (or a variation) and so did a couple of ex GFs

I don't doubt that you tried this and it happened the way you said, but I'm 100% convinced that initial video is staged. She's purposely never looking up, even though he's clearly filming them and she's super locked in on picking up like 40 tomatoes and putting them in the bag. Whole video stinks of staged for likes
