Question about suggesting contacts

So I’m creating a TikTok account and I don’t want to people I know to be able to find it without the username. I’ve turned off sync contacts and Facebook friends but I was wondering about if I turned off suggest my accounts to other would that mean only the people in my contacts and Facebook or people I don’t know and would it make it so my content doesn’t get pushed out as much? Thanks
