Trouble opening tiktok

I was just wondering if anyone else was facing this issue.

Ever since last weekend, I haven't been able to open the tiktok app icon through my actual home screen - everytime I tap on it the open black screen with the logo will appear for 2 seconds and then just disappear.

The only way I can access the app is through going onto the actual Google play store and searching for tiktok and then pressing "open".

I've tried clearing data + cache and even reinstalling the app, I have no clue what's going on!
