Strange Target Add Audio
This honestly has been messing with me so bad lately and it’s almost made me completely stop using TikTok. There’s this target add that keeps popping up on my fyp, there’s nothing off about it really at all. It’s the normal stuff, it’s just an advertisement that suggests things that it thinks you’d be interested in. The only thing that’s strange about this add is the fact that when I scroll on it it plays this audio , the only way to describe the audio is my speaker getting crumbled up like a bag of chips. I’ve only encountered the add 3 times.
The 1st time this happened I was wearing my AirPods and it did the crazy noise only in the right AirPod and it disconnected my AirPods. At first I thought my AirPod speaker on my right side blew and made them disconnect, I restarted the app and reconnected my AirPods and it was all fine afterwards. Weird experience but nothing too crazy.
The 2nd time this happened I scrolled onto the add and I immediately recognized it because of the horrible audio it was playing, and after a second or two of listening to the audio just soaking in how awful it was it started to fade into an acoustic guitar song. After listening for a minute at most, my app completely shut down and I was dumbfounded.
The 3rd time I saw the add I swiped past it immediately because I didn’t want it to mess my app up or my AirPods, but I was curious to see what happened so I scrolled back up to see what would happen. After listening to it and waiting for something to happen , absolutely nothing had happened. I probably listened to that one add for maybe 3-4 minutes straight just waiting for something strange to happen. I got bored of waiting and decided to scroll, and that’s when it started to show what really happened. My right AirPod had completely stopped playing audio out of it, no matter what I did to fix it I just couldn’t get it to play audio. The only way I got it to work again was going BACK to the add and letting it play for a second.
I’m curious if this is something that’s happening to y’all aswell or just me. Is this just me?
