I started creating content on TikTok in 2021, and by 2023, I had grown my account to 160K followers and over 3 million likes. However, I ended up stepping away from the platform for a while. In 2025, I decided to return and start posting content again, but now my account has no engagement—no likes or comments. Social media is something I’m truly passionate about, but I’m unsure whether to continue with this account or start fresh with a new one to grow again on TikTok.
Amazing! I am sure your fans/followers will love to hear from you - continue with the same one, if the vibe feels off, start a new one that's more aligned to who you are now, your values and interests.
Don't start over. I promise itll be much worse. You just gotta get your account flowing again, remind people who you are...maybe even stitch an older, popular video of yours and pick it up to keep it going kinda thing.
If you restart, you'll still have no engagement for a while. I think it makes sense to stay using your old account, that follower count is like a trophy you earned
