I can't see the numbers on my inbox

Hello! I seem to have aa problem with tiktok. I can't see the numbers, the pink circle numbers that should be displayed on my inbox when my friends send me a message. I have to open my dms one by one to check if they sent me a message. Does anyone know how to fix this??
