Tik Tok M2 (US Version)

Is there a point to growing on Tik Tok as a creator anymore?

Bytedance is creating a new version of Tik Tok that will be US-only. It will be largely owned by US investors, with Tik Tok having a minor stake. This new version of Tik Tok will be released in September of this year. Both versions of the app will continue to exist on the App Store until March 2026, at which time the current version will be discontinued. They have also started to layoff their Tik Tok shop employees, which is a major source of revenue for Tik Tok affiliates and shop owners.

Given this, is there a point to growing on this current version of Tik Tok anymore? Is it possible for our accounts to be migrated? I’m a new, non-monetized creator. Someone like me wouldn’t have much of an incentive to continue if there is no benefit in the immediate or future.
