Why does Tiktok keep interrupting and cutting off the videos?

Why does the screen on TikTok constantly drop down showing "LIVE STREAMS/STORIES" which keeps cutting off the video?

Tiktok keeps trying to get me to watch this crap which keeps interrupting the videos I'm watching. I gotta keep swiping up on the screen to get the full screen back. It's so damn annoying. What is up with this, any thoughts and how to stop this nonsense? Pictures attached on what I'm talking about.
