Why do people believe this

I mean I do remember seeing this during my Twitter days but it’s not that new. Just got to find out the demographics of who would fall for it. And by using TikTok, it’s easy for them to get engagement since people just like and comment on everything. Just make a fake message text and do a fake bet where this person would have to like 10k or comment or follow this page, etc. makes people curious what the text is saying or wanted to find out what it is, etc

Run back what, exactly? Does that mean something other than "take it back/go back on something"? I'm confused, but it's totally possible that I'm being dumb. Please don't attack me for not being familiar with TikTok, I don't use it - I'm just here because this popped up on my page.
