How do I remove people from my "Friends" tab?

I followed a couple people recently and they immediately started showing up in my "Friends" tab... but they aren't followers of mine, we've never messaged, I've never even commented on their videos because I just found them, so I don't know why they're clogging up my Friends tab with their entire backlog.

Is there a way to get them off that tab, or is my only option to unfollow these people?
