Just signed up and its a little disturbing

So ive never had my own signin to use tiktok before, got a new phone and signed up. Havent searched or subscribed to anything yet, just gone into explore.

Its really really disturbing, the default feed seems to be giving me a mix of anti-immigration, anti-aboriginal, white-nationalist, both anti-palestine and anti-jewish as well as a fair amount of violence or calls to promote violence. And the misogyny / toxic masculinity is thrown in the middle just to round out the garbage. Roughly 50% obvious AI and I suspect the text of a lot of the rest is AI written (sentiment is to consistent)

Is the default feed just like this or is there some broader campaign generating this enmasse and the frequency just bubbling to the surface?

For reference Im about as opposite to these views as can be, honestly makes me not want to engage with anything on tiktook on the off chance that those things are going to keep coming up.
