How do i get copyrighted music to go over 1 minute on tiktok?

I maje covers and everytime I try and upload them on tiktok it tells me the video can not exceed 1 minute because the sound is copyrighted. What doesn't make sense to me is I've seen others upload over 1 minute long videos with copyrighted music. I should mention they use their own audio so its not like it comes from tiktok. So based off what im seeing their seems to be a way around this problem but I can't figure out how

I add the music myself in editing. Then when I add it to TikTok, I add the sound on top, but set the volume to 1% that way it registers that I used the added sound, but I can play the song longer/use a different section/loop it however I want when I'm editing.
