they’re hacked, the reset link is to reset your password for your linked phone number, not theirs. your friend already fell for this and that’s not them.

Don't forward anything whatever you do! You will end up locked out of your account. Sounds like this person has been hacked, and it's not really them messaging you.

Don't send anything to anyone they already have your login info they just need to reset your password, they're sending you a password reset link to your own account and they'll change your password.
