So no one else has to click on that unreadable garbage:

A spokesperson said, “Terminations are the decision of the franchisees who own and operate the BK restaurant. In this situation, the franchisee confirmed that the individual involved is no longer employed due to repeated attendance issues.”

The spokesperson added, “No Team Member should ever be left to run a restaurant alone, even for a short period of time. That’s not how we operate. And we’re disappointed that our policy, which requires more than one Team Member to work per shift, wasn’t followed. While we can’t share more on individual personnel matters, we’re focused on making sure every restaurant, whether company or franchise-run, has the staffing and support needed to take care of our Team Members and deliver the kind of experience our Guests expect.”

So BK made sure to deny any responsibility but did not offer a single thing to help this woman. I get it., CYA and to hell with anybody else

This woman gutted through a solo 12 hour shift, that's work ethic.  I don't know why she was absent, but when you treat employees like that, of course you'll break & burn them out in a week.  And clearly they need employees, but cutting more somehow was the immediate next move.

It’d be a real shame if that place had a lot of positive reviews

That manager couldn't have her be late. Can't look the other way for that but can force her to work alone for 12hrs. They can break that rule. Seems like that manager wanted to exploit every second of their employee.
