i think the 5 hashtag update is made to censor people

i have been on tik tok since it was musically, i have multiple accounts a that range in both views and viewer type. one account i get regular 2k+ plus views and 500+ likes, other accounts get way more and other accounts get way less.

i have seen over the past few days that my interaction goes up when partaking in right wing media. using their music, aesthetics, etc have boosted my views while more liberal media is pushed down. now i would say that this was my algorithm if this wasn’t a common trend amongst ALL of my accounts— which were all created in different locations, IP addresses etc. some of my accounts are located in north america while others are located in europe, asia, africa etc in some other random countries and places.

across all of these accounts my views have significantly lowered, i do also think they want you to pay for interaction, which is a big obvious one. my content is pretty original and very niche, one of accounts took 3+ years to build to 2k followers while my other account created 4 months ago has 1k because of posting that niche content on there.

i don’t really have proof to back any of this up because “right wing media” can be called one thing by one person while another may disagree. i’m not right wing myself but i know their media and aesthetics, some of this media and aesthetics i like (like eurodance music/nightcore/techno and the coquette/americana branches of aesthetics). i’ve just noticed that even if you ever so slightly play into their narrative or agenda you get more views. or at least this has been the case for me.

edit: i also don’t understand the point of this update if they’re just continuing to push old videos with tons of hashtags onto the fyp, majority of my fyp is old videos with way more than 5 hashtags and people who have still managed to escape the update. i just think this is all so odd, why push old videos with more than 5 tags onto the fyp if the point of the update was to show videos with less to get more, better and proper interaction from users

There is a major shift in companies. They will always try to align themselves with whatever they think will garner themselves the most amount of money and that usually equates to what is currently trending/popular.

I think companies are having this swing because Trump/Republican’s are in house. I know it sounds wild but the US is currently the world’s super power. I think it’s a misstep and misconception.

Just like with the Sweeney jeans ad. Although there is a Nazi in the house, that wasn’t actually what got him elected. Nazis aren’t popular, they’re just in power at the moment.

If things swing back to being more democratic you’ll likely see that shift again.

Companies never cared about gay rights, they just cared about gay money.

Companies will cater to whatever will help garner themselves the most amount of money and if they believe it’s conservative, Nazi bullshit, they’ll do it.
