Hiding comments

Does anyone know how to hide comments on Android? Swiping right used to hide them, but recently that does not work. Long pressing or pressing forward also does not work as chat GPT suggested.

I'm wondering same thing been searching all morning they took away clear display too google said to pinch screen like you want a close up that doesn't work either hopefully someone has answer
