Does deleting videos affect your account?

My friend told me if you delete videos constantly TikTok stops recommending your videos to people and you go below the algorithm is this true?

Usually what I do is whenever I go live on twitch I post a short video on tiktok announcing that I’m live and to get people to follow, and when I’m done streaming I delete the post I don’t want to mess up my main account is this something people usually do?
