Why can't I make a slideshow?

My phone broke, and I got a new phone, but i can't make slideshows on TikTok anymore? When i try to select multiple images, instead of turning it into a slideshow like tiktok usually does, TikTok just makes it into some edit going through the different images. It just makes a video. How do i change this? Is it to do with my phone? Am I never gonna be able to post a slideshow EVER AGAIN? I've tried different pieces of advice, but none of them work. Why does this even exist on TikTok?
