Can't find a way to turn off news notifications

In "Settings and Privacy" -> Notifications (iOS app) I've turned off every notification besides direct messages. Nonetheless, in the past couple weeks I've started getting news-related notifications (NY Times, ABC News, etc). I do follow those accounts, but "Get post notifications from accounts you follow" has always been off since I started using the app. I don't want to turn off all notifications at the system level because I do appreciate being notified of DMs since I don't open the app that often. Any suggestions?
