i was more impressed by an old man just walking out every 12 hrs to refill the 8 stumps in his property with diesel to keep the burn going.

How much are they paying that man? If it’s under $2k, that’s elder abuse.

In my boarding school if you were caught breaking a rule you got assigned a stump and you couldn’t speak with anyone until it was cleared. This took some a week and others 3 weeks.

I laughed way too hard at this.

Reminds me of The Giving Tree. I wonder if he takes a break and just sits on it now and then?

Drill out the center. Get some charcoal ignited and pour them in the hole. Have a hose on standby.

My dad got mad when we were kids and threatened to make us dig the stump out in the yard over the weekend... my brother's friend had other plans and he brought over a real half stick of dynamite (don't know where he got it but he was one of those kids). We made a hole in the trunk lit the dynamite and threw it in and ran inside... bark rained down for 5 minutes and there was a HUGE crater in the backyard. 😂
