Does changing the volume of a sound to almost 0 still push your video as if it was using that sound?

There’s a trending sound that I’d like to use however I’d like to edit around it with sound design etc in davinci resolve. Would my vid still get the push of a trending sound although the volume isn’t really on?

(I would add my edited video with the sound/editing to TikTok but turn the volume right down so you can’t hear the sound)
