"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"?

So I was using tiktok for posting stream clips and such. And then I started to post thumbnail images and they got anywhere from 500-1000 views per. And then I started posting clips again, and got like 50-200 views. Should I start posting thumbnails again, or is that just the ebb and flow of TikTok?
