Odd? These fuckers identify as their jobs, as if they exist for this one singular purpose. They are addicted to the authority and power it gives them over other citizens.
It was not uncommon for cops to throw on gear to respond quickly to an event when I was a bastard. They make it their whole personality and can’t clock in and clock out.

Yeah imma go ahead and say it’s a cut and dry very very clear case of ACAB.
He was drunk and asked the kids what they were doing a few times. They didn't answer and kept walking. Then he went inside his house and put on the gear and came back out again.
The other people in the neighborhood-- despite not knowing what was going on -- ganged up on the kids and helped the cop hold the kids down.
The cop kept saying they had "flashed a gun" despite no gun being found.
