Remember the, this character didn't exist trend

Anyone remember this short lived trend where some computer voice would talk about this character mainly a video game character. It would talk about this character and all of their exploits and accomplishments only for the voice to say this character never truly existed and all their stories are just make believe. I can only recall two of the top of my head, one for Arthur Morgan and another for Captain Price. What happened to this trend and does anyone have any videos saved from this?
