What does TikTok achieve from not letting people like videos after a while?

I have no idea where to post this but I’m very confused.

Sometimes I’ll stay on TikTok for a very long time and then it won’t let me like videos anymore and it’ll say something like “you’re tapping too fast take a break” I just don’t get what they’re gaining from it like let me like videos😭✌️

Hate to say it, but basically it’s telling you that your behaviour is similar to that of a bot… I would take it a sign to unplug for a bit and go outside or something
