Can't see pictures and videos sent through DMs.

Does anyone else have this issue? Or has been able to solve it?

I don't mean sending actual TikToks but pictures and videos sent from your camera roll. Even pictures I take in the app disappear. This is both pics/vids I send and pics/vids sent to me. I get a blank grey rectangle that says "Failed to load. Please retry." instead.

Logging out and logging back in does make it so I can view sent pictures and videos again but it last like a day and its annoying doing this every time my friend wants to send me something.

I've already cleared the cache thinking that might be it but it made no difference.
