Tiktok is controlling my phone screen brightness

TikTok has started controlling my phone's screen brightness and I can't lower it. Could this be causing the green lines? The screen brightness has become incredibly bright for my phone. I've done several tests with my phone and I've never seen it so bright before, it hurts my eyes, how do I stop the app from controlling the screen brightness?
