Does changing the app’s display language change or reset the FYP?

Learning a different language and I’ve changed my social media apps to the language I’m learning. Just the display language so nothing in a deeper level. Doing this on TiktTok changed my FYP and when I change it back to my native language, I get my old FYP back.

How is this? It’s just display language I’m changing so nothing more
