DoorDash responds to driver who claimed she was fired after reporting on-job s*xual assault
Can't escape this on TikTok right now. Everyone has soooooo many opinions but I can't decide who is in the wrong

The dasher should not have posted her video to social media so she is wrong for that; however, being flashed without consent is sexual assault. If she would have kept her story to herself, the cops and door dash, she wouldn’t be getting so much hate. But the guy is 1000000% in the wrong.
This story is very confusing to me. I have heard that she opened the door and walked into his house which is why she saw him, but I haven't seen the full original video, just a few stills of the door mostly shut and then another still of the door open. If she pushed open the partially open door and walked in, I feel like this is on her. But I cannot make a judgement call based on what I've seen online. Hopefully the attorneys have the full video though.
It seems a user on this thread added a little edit to his comment, calling me out. I have this user blocked, and I did not send any sort of message to him, so feel free to ask for proof because he won’t be able to provide any.
What I did do, however, is just now asked reddit to reach out to him for support. I do not think he is well, as a normal person wouldn’t make such accusations just because they were proven wrong and it seems my snarkiness struck a nerve, but I do stand by it. Hope he gets some help. ♥️
This bitch is weird. She is way too excited about all this.
She recorded him passed out naked and shared the video and his name and address. Imagine if the guy had a diabetic episode which can cause incontinence then went to get clean laundry from the front room and passed out. She said the police weren't doing anything, there is probably more to his side of the story than we know.
She should be crapped on harder tbh
This story is actually really sad. Everyone believes this girl pushed open the door and filmed a naked man, but nobody has provided an ounce of proof of that happening. Many people are saying they saw the original video of her pushing it open and that she deleted it, but out of all the people saying it, no one can reproduce a screen recording. Its seems unlikely that no one would be able to provide proof if she actually pushed the door open. I know there is one obviously edited photo of the door being cracked going around. I think that speaks the credibility of the other sides argument. This woman was likely harassed and the entire internet is treating her like trash. Its giving me Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard vibes. The rise of conservatism is hitting like a truck and its strange to see people so unaware that they are buying into a smear campaign. Its seems like the tide is turning on tiktok but misinformation is still being spread here.
OMG I’ve been looking for a thread like this on Reddit to post to because every. other. video. On my feed is a “hot take” about this, and probably shame on me for commenting on most posts.
Obligatory two cents from me:
Anyone making ANY assumption without factual evidence is weird. Anyone defending either side strongly about this is weird.
Logic be damned when you’re in a state of shock. I don’t blame her for not calling the police or not doing a wellness check. I won’t even blame her for filming for “evidence” because yeah, women often aren’t believed in situations like this. But she is absolutely in the wrong for posting a video online uncensored, and for the whole public to see. That is a crime, whether she thought about it intentionally or not.
The law does not care what looks “weird” or “unusual.” The law cares about intent. We also have to consider “spirit of the law” versus “letter of the law” when sharing legal definitions.
Sexual assault (SA) is an act of sexual abuse in which one intentionally sexually touches another person without that person's consent, or coerces or physically forces a person to engage in a sexual act against their will.[1] It is a form of sexual violence that includes child sexual abuse, groping, rape (forced sexual penetration, no matter how slight), drug facilitated sexual assault, and the torture of the person in a sexual manner.[1][2][3] (cited from Wikipedia)
If you use Google AI or any type of AI screenshot as your definition, I will automatically assume you are not thinking critically
If someone says “pervert,” “victim blaming,” or “weird” in their hot take video, I will automatically assume you’re not thinking critically
From screenshots of the video seen, the door was in-between cracked and wide open. 1/2 way open is the most correct description. Seeing the man would depend on what angle she approached the door. We also don’t know if the door was in a different position before filming
Stop comparing your flashing, SA, or harassment story to this as evidence. Stop comparing other DoorDash stories to this. We need to take all SA stories case by case
We still have no idea if the man was even the person ordering the food. Multiple people can live in a home. DoorDash does give the name and picture of your driver, but people have borrowed accounts before. I believe Dashers also have an “I feel unsafe” button.
People sleep on the couch all the time. People sleep naked all the time. People sleep with just their face covered all the time. Doors can also be opened by a draft, gust of wind, or even a pet if not fully latched all the way. Why can’t all of this be considered?
Idk how anyone, regardless of gender, feels safe facing genitals towards a front or common door while sleeping, unless you are intoxicated or are having a health problem.
If your opinion changes if the genders/sexes were swapped, you have a problem
“Nobody believes SA victims” and “Women want to be victims” are wild blanket terms to slap over this story. No grand conclusion needs to come from this
America has a problem with viewing genitalia as something erotic automatically. America also has a problem of being too casual about genitalia in certain situations.
My actual Un-factual opinion: As someone who has dealt with SA, harassment, and countless unwanted dick pics, her reactions to everything screams “please validate me.” But she is completely forgetting how the law works in the state of New York. The man not coming forward publicly is a very smart move on his end. Her making videos every single day about this rubs me in a very wrong way. Her even mentioning that her videos could be monetized makes me feel so icky. DoorDash has every right to fire her. People are probably rage baiting or projecting their own trauma onto this story. This girl is absolutely fucked if he takes her to court, even if they both come out as guilty. I’m assuming if she’s making videos every day that she isn’t pressing charges (no lawyer would let her speak online constantly about the issue until resolved)
The people defending this must be sickos just like him
Bunch a perverts commenting on this. Gross.
