Why does tiktok hide my comment notifications?

Whenever I post a comment on a random video, there are times where I won’t see the notification telling me someone replied. I only find out when the comment gets liked and I press the notification which takes me to the video. Doesn’t happen all the time but occasionally maybe like 50% of the time. Is it a bug that can be fixed?
