Pro-tips for Whirlers

Whirling Assaults recoil is dog shit and typically players dodge roll out of it to not be vulnerable.

Both Frozen Locus and Wave of Frost can be used at any point as a “dodge” out of whirl, so once you’re wrapping up the spin you can cancel out of the Whirling Assault animation and stack some damage/utility on top of it.

Frozen Locus is good for AoE chill but has a difficult time freezing monsters in temple. It also can be socketed to impale cold damage as of physical, allowing you to stack some extra damage on your next attack. It has a huge attack damage multiplier and can really help clean up harder to kill enemies.

The angle of Wave of Frost is narrow but it does freeze much more reliably, turning on Bhatair’s easily. With a t2 attack speed mod on weapon and rapid strikes 2 the animation is fairly fluid and fast. It takes some calibrating and getting used to, but once you’ve got it down, it will feel smooth as butter. Bonus points because it combos well into staggering palm off the rip, you look straight up like Jackie Chan using these three in tandem.

Staggering Palm is insane. You may have seen my posts about Ancestral Cry as an ability, adding a ~500% attack damage slam to your steps (which activates many times while whirling). Getting ignite on an enemy amplifies Staggering Palm significantly.

Staggering Palm will give you a buff that fires projectiles when you stun a target. At lvl 30 this is about ~400% attack damage. Socketing it with Fan the Flames II will add another ~300% attack damage hit that all of your projectiles will proc when they hit a burning enemy.

As you can see, there are some niche interactions that turn a basic whirling assault into a damage shitfest that rivals comet. It is not unusual for me to run into a temple room and it be cleaned out in 5 seconds, especially if I’ve been doing good keeping my buffs up.

Forgive me for coming to my Ted Talk.

For those wanting. Once I figure out why Steam video on CachyOS won’t let me upload videos, I’ll post some highlights.

hmmm, never needed such a thing, once I stopped whirling, everything in vicinity except some tough rares was dead.

I rerolled the char, but it used the 100 spirit fury generator, Bhatair's vengeance through freezing mark on Pounce to gain serious cold damage for 20 secs and when in need of damage boost, I used the Ancestral cry and Tempest bell.

Through the black scythe training, I used CI and had 10k shield before buffs.

Zero duration earthquake titan

[Zero duration titan earthquake build - poe2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIWNVfsjpk0) I know this is nothing new, but after many hours of tweaking and experimenting, I think I finally found the build that fits my game play style the most: 1. Fast, or at least feels like it's fast 2. 1-2 buttons 3. Tanky - able to tank most of the big hits and easy sustain 4. Can ignore map mods and play all contents without switching gears or skills gems Build link: [Level 99 Titan - Path of Exile 2 - poe.ninja](https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/19cf7) Key points for the build: Fast movement is achieved by using boneshatter as movement skill. Zero duration Time of Need solves the sustain, all debuffs, and makes earthquake instant. Crown of eyes turn spell damage to attack damage, combined with Mystical Rage and Arcane Intensity gives huge boost in damage. Mana stacking + MoM + Mana Remnant gives big hit pool and boost damage at the same time. 100% reduced crit damage taken on armour helps big time, imo super underrated stats. Hope you enjoy it and feel free to share your thoughts and ask any questions :)

Hollow Palm is fun

Had a thought the other day about how no one is really playing hollow palm right now, so I wanted to try to make it work in the current state of the game based off of the knowledge I've gained over the last few leagues. I was originally using Shattering Palm to jump into a pack, then hit with ice strike for some nice explosions and damage. But then I noticed that as I got a bit more optimized with my tree/gear my Shattering Palm was nuking. So I just started using that and that alone for 99% of my mapping, as you see here. I do struggle slightly with bosses in damage sometimes. But with the hand of chayula setup that I swap to, mana siphon with freezing mark helps a bunch. This build is so much fun for mapping overall. You're almost insta-freezing with Shattering Palm, which also procs your ice bombs from the skill itself, elemental expression, your cast on crit with arc, and also your double heralds since Arc shocks pretty heavily. Taking advantage of mana remnants as well since I am critting so often and killing enemies afflicted by ailments, which keeps the build topped off. This is more of a showcase and all of my gear is self found/self crafted, but if anyone is interested in trying to gear out a HP monk, here is my poeninja: [Profile - WyattGirth - Path of Exile 2 - poe.ninja](https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/Acusar-9857/character/WyattGirth)

Help improving DPS/Survivability

[PoB](https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/wcz490w8) PoB is not saving all my equipment, my third ring is a gold ring: (15% increased Rarity of Items found Adds 16 to 31 Physical Damage to Attacks \+198 to Evasion Rating 18% increased Rarity of Items found \+39% to Cold Resistance \+39% to Lightning Resistance 42% increased Mana Regeneration Rate) This is strictly an MF character, tried to create a build based on what skill felt good to use, so i dont want to change my main skill (whirling assault), everything else iam willing to change (support gems and whatnot). I was going for a "Chayula Ritualist", trying to add chaos damage to attacks and effects. The build is able to clear any map and pinnacle bosses so far, what is giving me a headache are Abyss mobs at the end of the map (with the increased difficulty/reward tablet). 1. I know i can get better boots/gloves/helmet. Working on it right now, kinda broke after i made some adjustments to equipment yesterday. 2. Is the increased chaos damage on rings worse than added flat damage? Conversion is very confusing to me, sometimes the tooltip gets higher and my damage feels worse 3. My tree feels it could be way better, at the moment its a frankestein of different builds i read and vibes alone hahaha For instance, i went for the +2 power charge node with the increased critical damage when consuming them (for charged staff), but it feels i traveled way too much for that, even when i can clearly see that my dps is better Iam basically looking for ways to optimize it and clean some garbage that i may be doing. Appreciate any imput!

ED/Contagion Oracle

Anyone able to get an ED contagion Oracle to work? I followed the top DPS Oracle build on POE Ninja and it still does not feel right or do enough damage.

analyse build

As a rather new player to the genre and someone who prefers learning by doing, I would appreciate some inputs. Mainly about damage. My starting point was the quarterstaff and a stormweaver character laying around. **Defense** As I never used it before, I gave CI and cloak of flame a chance. Quickly I realised where the issues were with the lack of regaining ES. Also for some reason I thought poison would do phy dmg, thats why I specced into immunity for no reason. Anyway, I basically had to flee from the map due to the lack of defense. But thats not the main topic. **Damage** The overall plan was "freeze and big bonk on frozen enemies". But I was honestly surpised how bad I did damage wise. My hidout DPS is over 100k, what I think is not great, but not too shabby. I am aware there is no Herald for better clear. Or no charged Staff. I kind of assumed I would be somewhat fine. But man, was I surprised how bad I did on even white mobs. Barely any one-shots and no reliable freeze. Any hints on what I should pay more attention to when creating a build? Thank you in advance.
