Is there any way I can use my selfie remote stick on tiktok and it won't control the volume?

Is there any way I can use my selfie remote stick on tiktok and it won't control the volume?

I got a brand new selfie stick that comes with a remote. But I can't use the remote on tiktok, everytime I press it, it controls the volume button.

Is there anyway I can change this?
