Why does TikTok algorithm change so drastically?

Serious post. Ive been using TikTok for about 6 months to scroll videos of sports, audio, fishing , and basically all my interests/hobbies then after 10 minutes my videos will change to people with that seem to be the lowest form of society. Like bottom of the barrel shallowness. Clout chasers. People with no self awareness. Extreme plastic surgery. I try to get back on track but it usually takes closing the app and waiting a awhile
