Is it worth buying from TikTok Shop?

I recently wanted to start purchasing from TikTok shop but I don’t know if I should. I checked some older posts about it here and I’m pretty 50/50 about it. On one hand, I don’t want my info farmed, I don’t wanna use PayPal(I don’t trust PayPal in general), some stuff is much more expensive than it should be(at least in my opinion), dropshipping, and it’s hit or miss with getting good quality stuff or getting any packages in a short time period/shorter than a month. On the other, I’ve seen stuff that I haven’t seen elsewhere(unless I’m just not looking hard enough if at all) or I’m better off looking on Amazon, Etsy, or trying to find the companies that sell on TikTok Shop so I can buy directly from them and not on TikTok Shop.

My girlfriend described it as akin to the QVC channel on TV our moms used to watch.

Its like shein or temu. If you see something that catches your eye, bookmark it and do some quick research about the product (is it available on amazon for less is an easy one), and then search across tiktok for shops that offer that particular product (theres almost always duplicates) and find the ones with the highest rating and best pricing.

Tbh, I've ordered about 10 things over the years and I find mostly everything comes right away and is fairly high quality.

With tiktoks new owners, I dunno bro, I got off tiktok - i just dont trust the US with that data (less than the original board anyway)
