Can’t message people

Yeah so I was messaging a friend and said “YEAH” and then all of a sudden I can’t send or say anything to anyone, it’s all instantly flagged and can’t be sent. I tried the appeal thing and it said that there was somehow an issue with me sending the letter J to my friend. The only thing I can think of is that yesterday I had a VPN enabled so maybe it has something to do with that?
