Why cant comments be erased from your comment history?

Been meaning to erase some comments I've left on some posts, but I can't do it as some comments are on posts from people that blocked me/the posts are erased themselves, but I still want to manually erase them like how instagram does it (​i have ocd so this bothers me a bit). Why cant they be erased manually from your comment history like on instagram?
