Is the FYP broken?

So I’ve been using the app for over 7 years now, not signed in, but I never really had a problem with the FYP page. I’ve always gotten the content I’ve liked with my interests (and yes the brainrot). Last night, my FYP became just full of CNN, Fox News, CBC, and content from only verified accounts. I went to the settings, reset the algorithm and it returned mostly to its original state, but I signed back on today and it’s back to showing stuff I don’t like. Why is this?
