Big platforms and their support make it really difficult for normal users
I just need to vent a little because this situation is extremely frustrating.
For the past few days, I have had an issue on a major social media platform where my content suddenly stopped getting shown at all. This is not about getting fewer views or not going viral. I understand that reach can go up and down. But when everything was working normally before and then every new upload suddenly stays at 0, that does not feel like normal variation anymore.
So I contacted support and tried to explain the issue clearly. I wanted to know if my account was restricted, if something was under review, or if there was a technical issue.
Unfortunately, it feels like you only get copy paste replies. You explain the problem several times, send the requested information, and in the end you still get general tips on how to grow your audience. But that is not the point at all.
I am not asking how to go viral. I am asking why my content suddenly stopped being shown completely.
That is exactly the problem with big platforms. As a normal user, you barely have any chance. You cannot see what is happening in the background. You do not know if an automated system blocked something. You do not know if there is a restriction. And support does not give you a clear answer.
I find that pretty disrespectful, because you take the time to explain everything properly, but in the end it feels like nobody is actually reading the conversation. if everything suddenly stays at 0, users should at least get a concrete explanation. Is the account restricted? Is something under review? Is there a technical issue?
To me, it feels like the platform has all the control, while normal users can only guess, wait, and hope.
